Hawaii

Located in the Pacific Ocean, about 2,000 miles away from the United States mainland, Hawaii is a state in the Western United States. It is the only state in the world that is not located in North America, the only state that is an archipelago, and the only state located inside the tropics. Aside from being one of four former sovereign countries in the United States, Hawaii is also one of three other states (Vermont, Texas, and California).
