Louisiana

Louisiana is a state in the southern United States that borders the Gulf of Mexico. As a result of its history as a mingling ground for cultures of French, African, American, and French-Canadian origin, its Creole, and Cajun cultures have developed. One of the most visited cities in the state is New Orleans, which is famed for its colonial-era French Quarter, the frenetic and colorful Mardi Gras carnival, jazz music, the Renaissance-style St. Louis Cathedral, and World War II exhibits at the massive National WWII Museum.
