South Dakota

Situated in the midwestern United States, South Dakota is a vast and sparsely populated state whose undulating plains give way to the magnificent Black Hills National Forest. There are two historical monuments in the Black Hills; both carved directly into the granite peaks: Mt. Rushmore, an iconic representation of four famous United States presidents, and Crazy Horse Memorial, which pays honor to the legendary Native American tribe leader Crazy Horse.
